More than just an event, it's a movement.

Petaling Jaya, SELANGOR: The New NRML is the initiative of a body of students from IACT College for a movement that champions the post-MCO lifestyle. The New NRML has since begun its first phase from 17 June 2020 and will last until 23 July 2020. The first phase will feature weekly live streams on their Facebook page which would include interviews and talk shows with various persons on a variety of topics, charity game streams, and workshops.

The New NRML broadcasts charity game streams to raise funds for PERTIWI Soup Kitchen, a local NGO that provides food aid service to the homeless and poverty-stricken. The campaign will conclude with its second phase on 25 July 2020 with a full day of thrift store auctions, workout sessions, and a live concert at night featuring local indie artists.

The purpose of this new movement is to champion the lifestyle that has been shaped by this MCO period, what everyone describes as “the new normal” - having to do everything from the confines of your own home. This new normal has brought various emotions from comfort to boredom as well as various challenges not seen before. The New NRML aims to overcome these challenges by providing engaging weekly activities on Facebook Live, which would culminate in a final full day of thrift store auctions, workout sessions, and a live concert at night featuring local indie artists.

“More than just an event, it’s a movement” is the slogan used by The New NRML, which promotes the attitude of championing the new normal that extends even beyond the event-filled campaign.
